Meyda Lighting Area Sales Manager Max Cohen Nominated to Conduct Utica Symphony Orchestra and Help Support the USO  Yorkville, New York—To help raise funds in support for the USO (The United Service Organizations Inc.), Meyda Lighting Area Sales Manager Max Cohen has been nominated to conduct the Utica Symphony Orchestra at the Stanley Center for the Arts. Meyda Custom Lighting is a Meyda Tiffany company and a leading manufacturer and designer of custom lighting and décor. On March 26th at 8 PM, the Utica Symphony Orchestra will present its family "Salute to Patriotism" Concert, at the Stanley Center for the Arts, featuring the combined choruses of Clinton, Holland Patent, Proctor and Whitesboro High Schools - along with the popular “Maestro Madness” competition. The competition will feature community leaders, including Mr. Cohen, contending for the opportunity to conduct the Orchestra’s finale and to earn the title of "the Maddest, Baddest Maestro in the Mohawk Valley." As part of this special event, donations to the USO are requested in Mr. Cohen's name. Every dollar donated counts as one vote for Max Cohen. During the intermission, the audience will also vote for their favorite conductor. The “Maestro” with the greatest number of donations at the end of the evening will receive the chance of a lifetime – to conduct the Utica Symphony Orchestra in the concert finale.
